Independent publishing company Full Set launches
Blathnaid Healy and Eoin Purcell launch Full Set
Former BBC News exec editor Blathnaid Healy and book industry veteran Eoin Purcell (ex-Amazon Publishing and New Island Books) are launching a new, independent, non-fiction publisher, Full Set.
Full Set, which seeks to deliver rewarding reads to audiences in all formats, will release its first titles in 2026. The publisher’s initial focus areas are current affairs and business titles.
Healy and Purcell have taken influences from journalism and traditional book publishing into this new venture. Full Set will publish full-length and essay-length books that embrace nuance, don’t shy away from complexity and, most importantly, help audiences navigate the world we live in.

“We’re actively commissioning our first list and we welcome enquiries from agents and direct submissions from authors,” says Purcell. “We both strongly believe in the power of independent publishing to compel, challenge and inspire audiences.”
“The information ecosystem is undergoing another period of huge change, but readership of books remains incredibly robust with areas of audience growth especially in audiobooks,” says Healy. “We’re excited about developing new non-fiction authors, experimenting with format and delivering great books for audiences.”
Full Set, which is headquartered in Dublin, will publish and commission globally. As part of this venture, Purcell and Healy are launching a weekly newsletter (Reading In), which promises analysis and insights about the intersection of book publishing and journalism.
