Full Set has acquired God Among Men: Why the French Hate Emmanuel Macron by Joseph Ataman as the first title of its spring 2027 current affairs list.

Publisher Blathnaid Healy acquired world rights in all languages directly from the author.

In God Among Men, Ataman dissects how twice-elected Emmanuel Macron, who strode triumphant into the courtyard of the Louvre to Ode to Joy in 2017, has become so despised by the French.

Ataman is a London-born journalist living and working in France. A field producer for CNN, he’s spent years covering the twists and turns of French politics and interviewing people across the country. In 2022, Ataman ran CNN’s coverage of Macron’s re-election. He studied at the University of Cambridge and was a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard University during his master's degree in Middle Eastern studies.
